Hi,

I have a question,

Can I set my account setting so that I will use prepaid account balance, instead of being billed automatically?

I looked around account setting but couldn't find this option.

Thanks.

Hello Webb,

Currently we only have credit or debit card and paypal Billing. Here is some information of how Microsoft adCenter does their Billing.

About billing

When potential customers click your ad, charges begin to accrue in your Microsoft adCenter account. You pay only for the clicks that your ads receive, and you pay only the amount that you specified during keyword bidding.
Setting up billing for your account

You can choose to be billed by credit or debit card, or PayPal account.

If you choose credit or debit card billing, the account will ask you to sign in to adCenter and enter your credit or debit card information.

How you are billed

Credit card billing

Microsoft adCenter will charge your payment method at least once a month when there are pending charges on your account. The date on which you are charged is based on two values: your billing threshold and the monthly billing date for your account.

  • The billing threshold on your account is the maximum amount of pending charges that can accumulate on your account before your credit card is charged. With new accounts, the billing threshold is set at $50. Over time, as you make timely payments, your billing threshold may incrementally increase to $5000 of advertising costs.

  • The billing date for your account is determined by the date on which you created the account. For example, if you created a new account on the 15th of the month, your monthly billing statement is sent out each month on the 15th. The billing date for your account cannot be changed.

Charges will appear on the payment method used with your account either once a month on your billing date or each time your billing threshold is reached. To spread out charges, you will not be charged on your monthly billing date if the current balance is less than one dollar or if your account reached its billing threshold within the past 10 days.

There is no minimum charge required to keep the account active. It will remain active even if there is no activity, and you can pause and resume your campaigns whenever you like. For more information, see Pause a campaign or Resume a campaign.

Thank you,
