Install Error

I am trying to install Ad Intelligence on my desktop.

I get almost allthe way through and get a message that the installation could not finish and to click on the 'details'button for more info.

It has listed a number of things and they reference some kind of security issue. The last thing says that the thing that failed was My Computer.

I have had problems with this computer not being able to get to 'some' web sites but my laptop and my wife's desktop go everywhere. (They are all on the same network.)

Ad Intelligence works on my laptop and I could continue to work on that BUT, my laptop display is going out and I want to move AI onto my desktop.

I just ound this forum and joined so I don't have all the details of the error messages but will go get them and come back and add them to this post.

Thanks for any help,

Ernie

    Richard,

I didn't double check but I believe this is the same error message I got the first time:

I am having the exact same error on an install.

Customized functionality in this application will not work because the certificate used to sign the deployment manifest for Microsoft Advertising Intelligence is not trusted. Contact your administrator for further assistance.

If you find a solution I would like to know.

    Hi Ernie,

    Sorry for the delayed reply.

We were unable to reproduce the problem on our side but we suspect this is an issue of the tool that we used to create the setup package. We have escalated this to the ClickOnce team who owns the publishing tool. They haven't found a solution for this issue.

For now, can you try if you can sucessfully install ad Intelligence on another computer?

    Thanks for your patience.

I had the same problem and the same error from the looks of it. I reinstalled but did not unistall the Ad Intelligence and than was able to connect and finish the process. So in simple steps:

Step 1: Installed according to installation guide provided.

Step 2: Reboot as required, after reboot received error message.

Step 3: Went back to the setup file and double click to start the installation again. After that the connection window opened and connected with the advertising.microsoft.com/bla bla bla site and I received the window to continue with the update.

I hope this works for someone else like it did for me.

    Gregory
