Hi everyone,

Some of you have requested this, so here is a list of current known issues for the adCenter Desktop along with workarounds. We are working to fix these issues and appreciate your patience. This list is also located on the Connect site: in the FAQ and the Installation Guide.

We'll keep this thread updated so that you always have the latest info.

Known Issue #1
Incompatibility with 64-bit operating systems

Solution:
Install adCenter Desktop only on a PC running a 32-bit version of Windows.

Known Issue #2
Support and compatibility with Web Browsers other than Internet Explorer

Solution:
Install adCenter Desktop using versions of Firefox 2.0 or later by using the FFClickOnce 0.7 add-in.

Known Issue #3
Support for Microsoft Excel 2007 files (.xlsx)

Solution:
Microsoft Office Excel 2007 files can be imported by first saving the data as either a  comma-separated (CSV) file (.csv file extension) or as an Excel 97-2003 workbook file (.xls file extension). Future upgrades to Desktop will ensure compatibility with Excel 2007

Known Issue #4
During downloads of accounts that have more than 500,000 keywords, you notice slow performance or receive this error message:  “Account download failed”

Solution:
For optimal performance, limit your accounts to 500,000 keywords during the beta phase.

Notes

-- The keyword limit may vary based on the number of ads, negative keywords, and your computer’s available disk space.

-- A keyword and its various match type bids count as one keyword.

With this latest release (on Mon. Oct. 27) there are two known issues:

1. Some customers are receiving an error when downloading their accounts. This is being investigated.

2. The Conversions column is missing -- this will be fixed next week. In the meantime you can view your conversion data in the adCenter UI.

Thanks,

Carolyn

Hi Carolyn,

I have Windows Vista Home Premium, which tells me that I have both 32 bit and 64 bit capability. Plus, most programs I install put themselves in the 32 bit side.  Shouldn't the AdCenter Desktop application be able to run as these other programs do, within the 32 bit environment?

Thanks.

Possible bug (wad?). When you select "download and replace all" it also downloads stats. Not a bad thing, but unexpected.
