Hi everyone,

You'll be receiving an email about this today, but I also wanted to let you know here in the forum.

Back up your data for adCenter Desktop (Beta) before August 7

The first time you access the adCenter Desktop program on or after August 7, you will be prompted to download a new version of the tool. The new version of adCenter Desktop will replace the installed version of the software, as well as all local data. To avoid any data loss, please upload changes to your online adCenter account or save all your local account data, as instructed below, prior to downloading the new version.

Instructions prior to installing the new adCenter Desktop version

In order to ensure a successful transition to the new version of adCenter Desktop, please complete one of the following options:

-- Upload all changes made within the adCenter Desktop tool to your online adCenter account prior to August 7 (recommended).

Or

-- If you are not ready to upload your data, you may export your current account data to Microsoft Office Excel 2003. From the adCenter Desktop home page, click Export, then select Export to adCenter format (.csv). Then, after completing the download and install of the new version, import this file into adCenter Desktop.

I've started a new thread listing out the current known issues with the adCenter Desktop so you can have the latest information. The development team is working to fix these issues and we'll keep the thread updated as we get more information.

I don't think I was prompt to download the new version. I have 4.10.07168.3, is this the latest version? And now, I can't get my stats....

Hello,

Those of you who are outside of the U.S. and are interested in signing up to try the Desktop, I found out that you should use the adCenter Beta & Pilot Interest form. Then, when the beta is expanded to your market, you'll be under consideration for an invitation.

Please keep in mind that the team reviews invitation requests as they are received and invitations are sent on a rolling basis according to demand and according to market availability.

Hope this helps,

Carolyn

Hi everyone,

There will be an update to the Desktop later this week. I just wanted to let you know this is for back-end updates only and there are no new features this time.

We'll have more features coming soon and we'll keep you posted on when they're coming.

Thanks,

Carolyn

Hi everyone,

The adCenter Desktop Beta team has let us know there's an upgrade coming in the next few weeks.

The first time you access the adCenter Desktop after this upgrade, you will be prompted to download a new version of the tool. The new version will replace the installed version, as well as all local data. To avoid any data loss, please upload changes from adCenter Desktop to your online adCenter account or save all your local account data before May 14.

Here are the instructions from the team:

Save your adCenter changes before installing the new adCenter Desktop version
In order to have a successful transition to the new version of adCenter Desktop, please complete one of the following options:

1. Upload Changes to adCenter: In the adCenter Desktop tool, click “Upload Changes” to upload all changes made within the adCenter Desktop tool to your online adCenter account prior to the upgrade (recommended).

OR

2. Save Data Locally: If you are not ready to upload your data, you may export your current account data to a Microsoft Office Excel 2003 compatible file. From the adCenter Desktop home page, click Export, then select Export to adCenter format (.csv). Then, after completing the download and install of the new version, import this file into adCenter Desktop.

Thanks,

Carolyn
