Grow your business by advertising on bing, MSN, Xbox, and more!
Heya,
I have setup a campaign for CPC advertising. Though it is only displaying my ads for search results in American (http://www.bing.com/?cc=us) as opposed to Australia where I have set it up for.
Any ideas?
Thanks!
Eddie
Hello Eddie,
If i am understand you correctly. You have setup a Campaign Targeted to Australia? But you are Displaying in the United States?
If so, Currently we do not have a dedicated Distribution to Australia.
Without details of your account i am unable to to give you a accurate answer.

Hi Heya,
As far as i understand your question, you mean to say that your campaign is Geographically targeted to Australian Market, but your campaign setting is set to United States-English pages. Ideally bing should be displaying your ads to Australian Pages http://www.bing.com/?scope=web&setmkt=en-AU but your ads are appearing in US pages http://www.bing.com/?cc=us which is wrong.
i dont think currently bing has any solution to this problem.

Ashish Gupta
Hi Eddie,
Currently, adCenter only displays paid search ads in Singapore, United States, Canada, France, and the United Kingdom. We do not have advertising on the Australia portal.
Your campaign is set up to display in the United States, targeted to users in Australia that go to www.bing.com.

I have the same problem:
I have setup a Campaign Targeted to Colorado but the ads show all over the States, Japan and Europe. I have 2 analytics programs on our site, and I see that the clicks are that Microsoft show in my targeted area are not right.
I just spoke to someone in support and she told me that according to Microsoft everything is OK. I know that is not right. Also when we call back customers, we know they are in other States. There are many clicks that arr wrong.
I had to pause the campaigns and make new ones with the specific cities in our area to avoid wrong clicks, unfortunately, traffic is way low.
Eddie did you resolve the issue?
Hello Rhs,
I would like to look into this further. Could you please provide an SRX ID that the support agent provided? If there is an issue with our Geo Targeting, I will send the issue to the correct team.
Also when you set geo targeting, was it at the campaign or ad group level?
Thank you,
Paul K
The Problem is at the Campaign and Ad group level. I just re-activated campaigns in question and I just got a click from Newkirk, OK, USA, and another one from Kent, WA, USA,
Hello rhs,
I have looked into the SRX ID that you have provided.
I have ran a report from the adCenter interface and was not able to find the data that you are seeing. What report are your running?
What i did was run a Geotarget Location Report > This Month > By the Day.
I was only able to see 2 clicks from this month. 1 from Denver Colorado and another from Fort Collins.
I would like to look into further of where you have generated this data. With more details i will be glad to investigate further.
That is the point, I see my analytics program and I don't show anything from Microsoft from Fort Collins or Denver.
Microsoft keepstelling me that the searches are from the area but when we have a conversion from Bing and we call back the customer, they are not in our area.
Please let me look into this further and I will see what i find out.
My suggestion at the moment is to try and apply all the targeted metro areas Only at the Ad Group Level. Please remember click on the radio button at the top right hand corner for "define ad group settings"
This may resolve the issue.
I am continuing to look into this issue for you.
Please let me know how this works.
It didn't work, I applied all the targeted metro areas at the Ad Group Level, I resumed the campaigns in question and We just got a click from Dandridge, TN, USA. I just paused campaigns again.
We will be glad to investigate further. If you contact support with the following:
1. All the reports that show these clicks are coming from?
2. Server Logs with IP Addresses?
3. Any other data that you have that may show these click occurring outside the Target area.
I will have our Development Team look into this issue further. I do realize that you have contact support before but i would like to have our teams look at the issue again to find a resolution for you.
PS: Please provide a SRX ID for the new case. I will monitor and keep and eye out on the investigation.
Have you have a chance to take a look our account? I just sent support a list of clicks out of the geotargeted area. Looks that the problem is only for Yahoo searches, Bing is fine.
We have an investigation for this issue and we have our technical team working on a resolution.
Thank you
