Ad Center Forecast Number Zero?

This question is not answered

I'm noticing that the "Traffic by Month" figure for October 2011 shows 0, and there is no forecast for search terms for November 2011.

Anyone else seeing this? Is it a bug, or will the numbers be updated soon?

  • Hello Doc,

    Are you still experiencing this?

We will need additional details knowing if you are using ACD Vs. MAI plug-in in Excel?

It would really help to know exactly what ACD version you are using Or MAI version and the exact repro steps – so that we can confirm the behavior he is observing at his end.

As soon as I have this information, I will can investigate this futher for you.

    Thanks! :-)

    Hello Ricky,

The office is closed for the holiday week, so I don't have access to the office computer or the ACD or MAI version.

However, I just did a fresh install of MAI on my laptop and am getting the same result.

MAI version5.6.2031.0 on Excel 2007 with the 2010 tool update.

The original machine is running Office 2010.

When a "traffic by month" query is run for any keyword, the last complete data returned is for September 2011 with a "0" projected result for October, November and December.

When a "traffic by day" query is run, the last day reported with final numbers is October 30, 2011. Monday October 31, Tuesday Nov 1, and Wednesday Nov 2 are all reported with pink projected numbers, but there is no projected data reported after Nov 2 2011.

Hope this helps, looking forward to a solution.

    Thanks.

  • Hey Doc,

We escalated this issue and solved the root cause but it will take up to three weeks for all data to be processed. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Thank you for your patience. :-)

  • Hi Ricky,

Thanks for the response. Did you just resubmit this as the verified response? The three weeks ago when this was originally targeted to be fixed and verified was actually about four weeks ago. No new data is showing up.

I've checked the plugin on various machines. All show "0" as the search totals for December. That should be pretty simple to duplicate for the engineers.

So are we now talking another three weeks from what...today?

Seriously, what kind of answers are you getting from the engineers?

  • Hey Doc,

Looks like you are correct. We’ll file another ticket to have this properly resolved.

We apologize for the dealy and thank you for your patience. :-)

  • Hello Ricky,

After personally reviewing and comparing our keyword phrases between the AdCenter Excel plugin and the AdCenter desktop application, a very troubling pattern became very clear.

In the majority of instances we checked, the numbers being reported in the AdCenter desktop application as the New Data ( for example for October, November and December ) is in fact just the OLD DATA that was reported in the Excel Plugin under for the months of August, September and October.

In other instances, there is no relevant connection between the numbers. So either the numbers reported in the AdCenter Desktop reflect OLD DATA or the numbers don't match at all.

    What is going on?
