  • The enhanced AdWords import tool should be a big help. I never could get "the old way" to work properly.

  • Hey Tina, can you please elaborate on how exact match negative keywords work now w/ AdCenter Desktop 8.1? One of my broad keywords is 'ice cream' but i notice the exact term 'cream' coming up in my SQ performance report.. can I add 'cream' in as an exact match negative, as I would in AdWords? (extreme example, I wish I was doing SEM for Ice Cream.....)

Thanks guys the new UI's are a HUGE improvement!

  • Definitely moving the the right direction!  The location of negative keywords within the adCenter browser UI and the desktop tool still really bugs me.  It takes too many steps to see the negative keywords at each level.  I would like to be able to see all of my account negative keywords on the desktop tool in the same way I see my biddable terms.  Because the negative match types are so different between AdCenter and AdWords, I end up having to go into each ad group and campaign level to edit the negatives after I use the nifty new desktop import campaigns beta. Way too time consuming.

  • @Shaan - Yes, you can add [cream] as an exact match negative just as you would elsewhere. The exact match negative KW feature we released today to work w/ the latest version of adCenter Desktop allows you to utilize the same behaviors you're used to on AdWords. In this case, you should load [cream] as an exact-match negative. You'll want to make sure you're doing this in the latest version of adCenter Desktop or the recently updated adCenter Web UI using the []'s to designate.

  • @Christine - Thank you for the feedback. I completely understand your pain point here. While I cannot offer any immediate alternative to how you're currently managing, I can let you know that we're already hard at work in our design labs and development groups to deliver improvements to streamline your negative keyword management process. No dates/specifics to announce at this time, but something you can look to see us address as we continue to push enhancements to adCenter. Thank you again for the feedback.
