Grow your business by advertising on bing, MSN, Xbox, and more!
The latest Microsoft Advertising adCenter Upgrade includes several improvements that have consistently been requested in the feedback we've received. This upgrade provides easier ways to manage your search and content advertising strategies with adCenter. The changes include improved targeting and enhanced insights.
Improved Targeting
You can now use Radius Targeting to reach relevant search users in a 5-100 mile radius of any location. Narrowly targeting local search users can help boost your campaign performance. You can set up Radius Targeting in the API or through an interactive map in adCenter.
We’ve also made these improvements to your geographical targeting options:
· A simplified Business Locations page in the adCenter UI
· Direct access to your targeting settings from the Campaigns tab in the adCenter UI.
· Two new columns that can be added to the adCenter UI and API geographical location targeting report: Proximity target locations, and Radius (miles).
Enhanced Insights
Now you can view and take action on critical account alerts from any page in the adCenter UI. The new, color-coded icons on the top left corner of every page indicate your number of active alerts: red means critical; yellow means non-critical. When you click an icon, you’ll see a short description of the alert with links to take action or review more information.
Also, keep your account up to date and avoid potential campaign issues with the help of the newly launched Notification API Beta (V8). It provides a set of service operations that can be used to retrieve adCenter notifications about issues like an approaching credit card expiration date or a nearly depleted campaign budget. Retrieve notifications frequently so that you can take timely action on critical issues that could impact your business.
adCenter API access is now widely available. As an adCenter user, you can fill out the form to request access.
Watch for more updates as other exciting features release in the coming months.
Thanks!

Can you set the target locations and radius in the bulk sheet? Does the location have to be an address or can it be a postal code? What's the limit on number of proximity target locations?
Whats going on? I can't change any of my bids in any of my accounts? I called and they said you were performing an upgrade? Cant you guys do this on the weekend rather than Monday morning. Total rookie move by MSN.
Thanks for this update. Regarding the new Alert Notifications.. In Firefox, when I click on the Alert, I get the spinning blue box but cannot see the actual alerts. Ditto in Chrome. :(
Hi Amanda,
Thanks for your question! Unforutunatel, you can't set target location/radius in the bulk sheet. The location can be either an address or postal code. It can also be set with a landmark, like "Space Needle." Also, the limit on the number of prosimity target locations is 10,000 per account. I hope this helps answer your questions :-)
Thanks!!
Hi Marvin and Greg,
Can you post your issues in our support forum and one of our representatives will be happy to help?
Hey guys;
I am not receiving any impressions as the reporting seems to be broken since June 29th roughly 10pm.
Hi ClothingTrends,
Are you still having the same issue, and if so, could you post a thread in the forums? We can have support look into this for you :)
The current Notification API doesn't seem to be working right now (I posted in the forums yesterday). Is this related to the new Notification API (v8) rollout (which I haven't seen any mention of on the adCenter API page)?
Hey skeebuzz,
I'm looking into your forum post. I will update you within your post once I have more details.
Ricky :)
