This is part three in a series of blog posts about Microsoft Advertising Intelligence (formerly Microsoft adCenter Add-inBeta for Excel), after the launch of Microsoft Advertising Intelligence in the UK. The first post covered the Keyword Extraction and Keyword Suggestion tools, and the last post was about the traffic and demographic tools. This week we will be looking at the Pricing tool, which provides up-to-date traffic and cost data for your selected keywords.
Pricing - Keyword Monetization
The Keyword Monetization tool contains the Paid Search Monetization tool. (Note that in the U.S. you can also use the Monetization KPI's - Content tool, which will be covered in a separate blog post.)
What does it do?
By selecting a set of keywords in an Excel sheet and clicking the Paid Search Monetization button, you will receive data on Clicks, Impressions and CPC's, for specified positions and match type.
Using the Options button and the Tool Settings tab, you can choose to show the data you need. The date range you can select for the tool is currently 30 days, last week or last day. You can run the report for all positions (1-8) or specify a position, for example position 1. You can also receive bids for specific match types, all match types or aggregate match types.
How can I use this tool?
The great thing about this feature is that it gives you complete visibility into what you need to bid to be in certain positions and the clicks that you can receive. For this reason it is great for:
