&lt;p&gt;Closely manage your piggybacked tags by:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Selecting start and end dates for piggybacked tags to fire. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Enabling and disabling piggybacked tags in two easy clicks.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Flexibility&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Added support for JavaScript and iframe code types for piggybacked tags, including JavaScript semantic and syntax validations within the UI.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Ability to piggyback tags from Uncertified vendors.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Depending on whether you use the UAT program or Uncertified suppliers, add tags from any vendor you choose, whenever you choose (separate terms apply for the UAT program and use of Uncertified vendors).&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Relaxed algorithms for whitelisted UAT program tags.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;We now allow subdomains within the whitelisting process for vendors participating in the UAT program. This will provide more flexibility for domains recognized in the UI, and provides efficiencies for vendors when submitting tags for whitelisting.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;u&gt;Ease of Use&lt;/u&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;· Additional searches, filters, and warnings in the Media Console help users better identify which vendors participate in the UAT program. This ensures proper matching for use of the Selective Pinging feature, or for those instances when Partner networks in the UAT program pay ad serving fees for CPA campaigns on behalf of clients.&lt;/p&gt;

The 1x1 tracking pixel enabled advertisers to track their impressions and clicks for 3&lt;sup&gt;rd&lt;/sup&gt; party rich media ads through to conversion. But it also meant that advertiser had to pull a separate report to view and analyze all of the additional tracking and metrics that the 3&lt;sup&gt;rd&lt;/sup&gt; party rich media vendor provided, like interactions, expansions, and average interaction time. As a result, valuable analysis could be lost due to fragmented data sources.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;We’ve developed a set of tools in conjunction with our ATPA partners to define a simple process for a new ad type in Atlas: the Rich Media Tracker ad. You can easily create this ad through Excel using the &lt;a href="http://community.microsoftadvertising.com/blogs/atlas/archive/2011/07/17/introducing-the-atlas-media-add-in.aspx"&gt;Atlas Media Add-in&lt;/a&gt; and traffic the tags to one of the ATPA partners. From there, the partners have unique tools to help them with implementation and Q/A to ensure your campaign is successfully measured. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;While some have tried to achieve the same result creating multiple tracking pixels and manually mapping metrics to interactions, it’s been costly and error-prone. Most recently, while preparing this very post you’re reading, I wrote the perfect phrase to describe what the new Atlas My Reports Provisional Stats are; they are the ‘acid test’ of a successful campaign launch. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;What are Provisional Stats?&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Starting February 13, 2012, a Media Console user can get access to data on Impressions, Clicks, Action Requests and Interactions before the standard intraday reporting data; we call this data Provisional Stats. Typically data in My Reports is certified (duplications, blacklisted impressions and clicks are removed) before it is presented in a report. Certifying data is an important step in the process, but does require a bit more time to undergo our filtering process.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Good news! Unlike base metals and silver, gold does not dissolve in nitric acid, so it was literally the acid test to make sure you had your hands on something truly valuable. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Make sure your campaign and action tracking is made of gold by instantly validating its launch using the true ‘acid test’ of provisional stats.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;

If the answer's yes, you'll find that many functions that can be performed in the Atlas Media Console can be easily translated into the Media Add-in with simple copying and pasting.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Below I will highlight some of my favorite time-savers for using this tool:&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;· &lt;b&gt;Updating multiple billing periods:&lt;/b&gt; Are you currently navigating through the Media Console pages into separate Cost Packages just to update flighting or costing properties? Did you recently re-negotiate your rates and need to make adjustments to the Cost Package? Use the Media Add-in to quickly update multiple billing periods by making adjustments to existing fields or inserting additional rows. Tada!&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;This is the first iteration of the Media Add-in to release to all clients and we are always looking for feedback on ways the tool can be improved. But when you’re using the ASDT, you also benefit from deeper connections between search engine data and Atlas data. You’ll be able to pull search engine dimensional and fact data side-by-side with Atlas data in MyReports, giving you the ability to assess campaign, ad group, ad, keyword, and landing page performance.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;We’ve also updated our Advanced Analytics reports to ensure they’re compatible with the new, simplified click redirects created in the ASDT. These existing capabilities include standard audience criteria like action tag remessaging, geo location, browser type, and more. But on top of the new workflow and integration with the &lt;a href="http://community.microsoftadvertising.com/blogs/atlas/archive/2011/07/17/introducing-the-atlas-media-add-in.aspx"&gt;Media Add-in&lt;/a&gt;, we’ve also built additional features that are true differentiators in the marketplace. For starters, we’ve added extensive controls and flexibility for managing audiences, allowing clients to:&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;   &lt;li&gt;Define an audience based on multiple criteria &lt;/li&gt;    &lt;li&gt;Place frequency caps for increased controls on the &lt;strong&gt;creative&lt;/strong&gt;, &lt;strong&gt;placement/ad&lt;/strong&gt;, and&lt;strong&gt; audience&lt;/strong&gt; levels &lt;/li&gt;    &lt;li&gt;Copy audiences to make adjustments, or retain base audiences to build upon &lt;/li&gt;    &lt;li&gt;Share audiences to other advertisers to more closely manage messaging across campaigns &lt;/li&gt;    &lt;li&gt;Set priority levels on the messaging for audiences per media placement &lt;/li&gt;    &lt;li&gt;Assign ad weighting to messages &lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;ul&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;  &lt;p&gt;All of these features are designed to allow for complex messaging strategies, ensuring you have the right levers to maximize media effectiveness and optimize for consumer relevancy.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;We’ve also introduced brand new audience criteria with Audience Messaging’s ProfilePlus. ProfilePlus allows Atlas clients to leverage Microsoft Audience Intelligence data for creating segments to use in their audiences across all their publishers and campaigns. Previously only available through Microsoft media buys, you can now add Microsoft Age and Gender profile data, as well as Search Remessaging* data to your audiences to use across Atlas campaigns. The addition of Microsoft data provides unique richness to your audiences that will augment relevancy for delivering the right message to the right person at the right time.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;Increasingly, we’re seeing audience data being directly managed and controlled by the agency and advertiser, and Audience Messaging enables Atlas clients to more closely manage their audiences holistically. Our library of Atlas Media Console training videos are all around 3 minutes long and are designed to provide specific and relevant information quickly.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;My personal advice for multi-taskers like myself?&lt;/b&gt; Don’t cram in all of your learning at once. Take advantage of the category topic buckets and spread your learning over the course of an appropriate amount of time for you. Your schedule is pretty full and you only have about 45 minutes to figure out how to pull reports.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;What do you do? &lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;1) Take 3 minutes to view the four videos in the My Reports category. &lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;2) Take 5 minutes to try out what you just watched because most people learn by doing.&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt; We are looking forward to bringing our advertisers a simple and scalable method for implementing enhanced notice on their ads according to &lt;a href="http://www.aboutads.info/"&gt;Self-Regulatory Guidelines for Online Behavioral Advertising (OBA).&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p&gt;  &lt;p&gt;By way of a quick update, we will not be automatically opting all U.S. advertisers into the AdChoices program at launch, but will be deferring that until a later date. And while we all strive to implement the most effective, most strategic plans to reach our audiences, we should remain consumer-focused along the way. Part of that consumer-focus means providing transparency and education about our digital practices in data collection and use.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The desire for industry to provide consumer focus was the impetus for the self-regulatory program for Online Behavioral Advertising (OBA) initiated by the digital advertising industry to provide consumers with transparency and choice regarding online advertising. The program was derived in response to the &lt;a href="http://www.ftc.gov/os/2009/02/P085400behavadreport.pdf"&gt;recommendations and guidance set forth by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC)&lt;/a&gt; in the U.S., and is implemented by the &lt;a href="http://www.aboutads.info/associations"&gt;Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA)&lt;/a&gt;&amp;mdash;a group comprised of various important industry associations including the AAAA, DMA, IAB, NAI, BBB and others. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Microsoft continues to play a key role in promoting consumer education and building confidence and trust with our partners by supporting the OBA self-regulations. To ensure our compliance with the self regulations, Atlas will be launching the &lt;a href="http://www.aboutads.info/participants"&gt;AdChoices program&lt;/a&gt; in the Media Console next week. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;For advertisers in the United States, you will automatically be opted-in to display the AdChoices log&lt;a href="http://community.microsoftadvertising.com/cfs-file.ashx/__key/CommunityServer.Blogs.Components.WeblogFiles/atlas.metablogapi/2818.image_5F00_1C8B4549.png"&gt;&lt;img height="112" width="130" src="http://community.microsoftadvertising.com/cfs-file.ashx/__key/CommunityServer.Blogs.Components.WeblogFiles/atlas.metablogapi/7774.image_5F00_thumb_5F00_0323420F.png" align="left" alt="image" border="0" title="image" style="background-image: none; border-right-width: 0px; margin: 10px; padding-left: 0px; padding-right: 0px; display: inline; float: left; border-top-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; padding-top: 0px" /&gt;&lt;/a&gt;o for all eligible ads created after the program launches. If you&amp;rsquo;re using a 3&lt;sup&gt;rd&lt;/sup&gt; party vendor to implement AdChoices, you may manually opt-out after launch by updating your Advertiser properties.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;If you advertise outside the U.S., you will not be automatically opted-in, however you may choose to adjust those settings should you wish to display the AdChoices logo on ads created after launch.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;AdChoices is specifically a U.S. industry initiative for now, however EU member states have passed various laws under the EU e-Privacy Directive to promote similar transparency around consumer data collection. In fact, we are seeing the AdChoices icon displayed across brands throughout Europe in advance of official standards. At this time, there is still uncertainty on exactly how each member state will implement a standard solution for the Directive, but be assured that Microsoft is involved in conversations to help bring transparency, privacy, and control to consumers.&lt;/p&gt;
