Welcome to the 25th video in our Ad Vision series of interviews leading up to Cannes Lions 2011!
Today’s video brings us a few precious minutes with Quentin George, Chief Digital Officer at Mediabrands on some thought-provoking opinions about who we may want to imitate for creative inspiration—kids! With fresh eyes and aspirations unbound by the limits of known realities, it is children (including his own), who reveal untapped opportunities. As Quentin notes, “The bounds of their solutions are not tied to reality.” All our interviewees have told us where they get their inspiration and children are a recurrent answer.
Same for you?
It only naturally follows that Quentin’s recommendations for aspiring creatives and marketers is to transcend the obvious bounds of their chosen discipline and understand instead how it serves the larger ecosystem of communication.
Dig deeper, go beyond, take risks, and develop your niche while deflecting the tunnel vision.

Great insights from Quentin. I am especially tuned in to the need for us to see the world through the innocence of a child's eyes. We can learn much from a six year old (as well as from a 96 year old!).
