Grow your business by advertising on bing, MSN, Xbox, and more!
As the year is nearly over, we started to take a look at what were the most read Microsoft Advertising blog posts of 2010.
We’ve always tried to bring you the very best, most relevant insight and news from our business and the industry as a whole, and from what you’ve been perusing, it seems our readers are as into integrated digital marketing as we are!
Here are the Top 7:
Sitting down with the eTrade baby-daddy: Nick Utton on digital marketing, branding, and measuring online effectiveness
Launched: Microsoft Advertising SDK for Windows Phone 7 Apps and RTB Exchange
In-Game Advertising "Facts are Stubborn Things..."
Our B2B Social Media White Paper – Learn & Earn
Getting Back to Basics – Why Web Advertising Needs Traditional Media Metrics
Register your Windows Phone 7 Apps with Microsoft Advertising’s solution for Publishers and App Developers
Carolyn Everson Joins Microsoft Advertising as Head of Global Ad Sales
We picked out the Top 7 simply because, at the moment, 7 is our favourite number – can’t think why?!
And what we see is very real interest in emerging marketing channels like games advertising and mobile, coupled with a thirst for social media best practices, all rounded off with the constant desire to have effective success measurements for everything we do.
The Nick Utton video received the most views because it had a huge consumer appeal. The TV ads had struck such a chord with the general public, that when they were updated, they went in droves to the engines and our site appeared high up in the search results – a good sign that search engine marketing should factor highly in online ad campaigns too.
Lastly, what we love about working at Microsoft Advertising, and what we enjoy celebrating, are the people.
The reception for Carolyn Everson joining as our leader in the Summer has been amazing, and as you can see from these three video interviews, she’s hit the ground running, already toured the world meeting our customers, and has exciting ideas for 2011.
We’re still publishing posts into next week, but we understand many of you maybe taking time off to visit family. So I’d like to take this opportunity on behalf of all the folks here at Microsoft who’ve worked hard to bring you our news across the blog, Facebook Page and Twitter, to wish you a fabulous end to the year, and we look forward to providing you with even more insight over the next 12 months!
Cheers,
Mel
