As our community grows in members and content, it is good to be familiar with how to search for information.
How to use the search function
Forums and blogs are typically designed to put the most recent comment and article at the top, which means the thread or blog post you found interesting last Monday may have gotten bumped off the first page. Where did that informative blog post on Filters go? What happened to that Expandable ads thread? To find this information try searching the community.

Search for people
Use the search box to find information with use of a few key words. For example, say you are trying to find posts or blogs by Brett Morien and can’t remember the date or name. Simple enter “Brett” in the Search box and pull up all posts and blogs written by Brett or that reference Brett.

Search by subject
You can also search by subject. For example, say you are looking for suggestions on ad colors. Try searching for “ad colors” to obtain all the posts and blogs written on the topic.

More Search Options
Your search for ad colors produced 27 responses and you want to narrow it down, which is super easy with “More Search Options”.

The search can be narrowed down by matching the tags; adding who wrote the article; and/or the date the article was written. In this case, let’s narrow down our search by looking for posts and blogs “between March 1 and March 31”.

By adding the additional parameters your results were narrow downed by almost 50%, from 27 to 15 results.

Friendly reminders
When you use more than one word to search by, the agreement is “and” not “or”. The means when searching for the phrase “ad colors”, it will pull up results for articles containing “ad & colors” and not articles with only “ad” or “colors”. Also the search results are pulled from the entire adCenter community, so you are not limited to a specific forum or blog.
