How to View, Create and Manage Reports
You’ve set up your account. You’ve set up ads units. You are receiving impressions and you are even generating clicks. To gauge your performance you will want to view a report or create a report to see how you are performing. Microsoft pubCenter gives you the option of creating a variety of different reports. Read on to learn more.
How to view a report
1. Sign in to https://beta.pubcenter.microsoft.com
2. You will land on the Reports Overview page and see your performance for today. You can change the time period in the View data from dropdown by selecting the time period that you would like the report to track: Yesterday, Last 7 (excluding today), This Month, Last Month
3. Next, select Top ad units or Top channels.
a. An ad unit is the group of ads contained within one space, or ad slot, on a web page. Ad units can contain one or more ads.
b. Channels allow you to assign any ad units or filters you want to report on. You can assign ad units and filters from different properties and compare performance data for all of them in one report.

Your data will be shown in a graph format and you have the option to view the data as numbers. (Note: Graphs are visible only for Top ad units). If you want more detailed information when viewing a pie chart, click on one of the slices.
For channels: It’s a good idea to set up channels and/or custom channels to take advantage of all the different features available in reporting. Channels give you control over which ad units appear in your reports. In some cases, it’s only possible to compare different ad units by assigning those ad units to channels.
What are Quick Reports?
With quick reports, the format is pre-determined, but you are given a wide range of report types from which to select.

Account performance. This is the most general of the reports, showing performance data for everything associated with the specified account.
Ad unit performance. This shows general performance data for all the ad units in an account.
Channel performance. This shows performance data for all the ad units within a given account broken down by channel.
Property performance. This shows performance data for all the ad units within a given account broken down by property. You can use this report to compare websites against each other.
Ad unit rotator performance. This report shows a breakdown of what ad units were used in one, many, or all rotators, the rotation percentage, (i.e. ad unit abc showed 60% of the time in your rotator) as well as all other expected metrics (i.e. impressions, clicks, eCPM).

FAQ
Q. What types of reports are available?
A. The following types of reports are currently supported:
Channel Performance: The publisher receives a detailed report on any channels that have been set up. Additionally, publishers can evaluate how different ad units and properties are performing within a given URL or assess how similar ad units perform in different properties.
Ad Unit Performance: The ad unit report generates raw numbers, such as click-through rates and ad impressions. This report provides granular details, but does not offer the flexibility of the side-by-side comparison of the channel performance report.
Account Performance: The account performance report captures all of the performance data for an account. This report is useful for publishers with multiple accounts (especially for those with accounts that represent different properties), or when each account is for a different client.
Property Performance: The report is used to compare websites against each other.
Ad Unit Rotator Performance: The report shows a breakdown of what ad units were used in one, many or all rotators; the rotation percentage (i.e. Ad unit “A†showed 60% of the time in your rotator) and all other expected metrics (i.e. Impressions, Clicks, eCPM).
Q. Can I run reports automatically?
A. Yes, to schedule a report go to the Reports tab, then go to the Create reports sub-tab and click on Save report template. You can then choose when the reports run by clicking Daily, Weekly, or Monthly from the Schedule to run list.
Q. How quickly does data appear in new reports?
A. Reports are typically updated every three hours, with an occasional delay of up to 24 hours.
