These time wasters are my every day enemies. They are the reason why I had to use a software for time management just to keep my focus and become more organized. Without it, I wouldn't be that productive.

More importantly, I think time management starts with self-discipline. Even with all these pointers and tools, you will never be that productive if you won't start to change yourself.

Why don't you just come up with a better system (hint: Google does this perfectly, and it's not as if your customers don't already use that) instead of requiring your customers to master ridiculous workarounds?

Thank you for your questions I’ll be happy to elaborate further.

“Does this mean yes, only Ashtanga will be blocked, or yes BOTH Yoga AND Ashtanga will be blocked?”

Only keywords referring to Ashtanga would be blocked, so if someone searched for the keyword “Ashtanga”, “Ashtanga yoga” or “Yoga Ashtanga” then the related Yoga ads would not show as part of expanded broad match. If a user was to type in just “Yoga” then that would continue to serve. Only Ashtanga would be prevented because of the negative.

Hope this helps! :-)

Because you have the same keyword in the same Ad Group adCenter sees it as the same keyword, despite it having a different match type. That is why you are unable to pause just the one without pausing the other. A common best practice many advertisers use to control various match-types is to create individual Ad Groups for the three different match types. This way they get more control over their keyword tracking and bids.

Hope this helps! :-)

To answer your question, yes if you had 1 negative at Ad Group level and 3 at Campaign then indeed it would be the Ad Group one that would take precedence, and the other 3 at Campaign will be ignored. Best practice is to set negatives at Ad Group level as you can have more control over your keywords and negatives.

Hope this helps! :-)

Hi Billy,

Thank you for your post and for your very good question. :-)

Yes it would be blocked; this is because the serving of your ad against the expanded broad match result would be prevented if the term “Ashtanga” featured in your Yoga ad group negative keyword list.

Ricky :-)"

Does this mean yes, only Ashtanga will be blocked, or yes BOTH Yoga AND Ashtanga will be blocked? This is not a very clear answer.
