Microsoft, Yahoo! Search Agreement Cleared

posted Thu, Feb 18 2010

The US Department of Justice and the European Commission have cleared the Microsoft|Yahoo! Search Agreement. This global search agreement is a major initiative between our companies to create a competitive choice in search advertising for advertisers and consumers. Achieving regulatory clearance in these two markets is an important first step towards full implementation of the alliance. Microsoft and Yahoo! are now focused on ensuring a smooth technical implementation. There are no changes to your Microsoft adCenter account or Microsoft sales and service contacts at this time. Microsoft will provide you with more detailed information before there any changes to your account to help you with a successful transition.

Update: For more information please see the Search Alliance web site at www.searchalliance.com.
