Frequently Asked Questions
- Q. Can I submit a blog post or other content types?
- A. Yes. We encourage community members to submit content of all types to the community. Contact one of the community program managers if you'd like to share blog posts, videos, podcasts, gadgets, photos or other content.
- Q. Won't some people try to manipulate the system?
- A. Yes, and where we determine that is occurring we reserve the right to ban the account.
- Q. Can I earn points for activities that are "invitation only"?
- A. There are some activities on the site—such as closed beta forums—that are not available to all users. For example, many community members have applied and been approved to participate in the adCenter Publisher beta forum. Points from these activities are counted in the community profile for these users.
- Q. Will you be expanding the set of activities for which points can be earned?
- A. Yes. Over time we expect to expand this list of activities. Let us know in the forums if you'd like to make suggestions.
- Q. Where can I see who are the experts on the site?
- A. Visit the Community Member Directory.
- Q. What does "By Invitation Only" mean in the above list?
- A. There are some activities on the site that are available only to customers or visitors selected by Microsoft. For example, some beta forums will be available only to customers who meet select criteria, for example, by size of business. Guest blogging opportunities, similarly, are extended to customers who meet certain criteria.
- Q. Do I start with any points?
- A. As many members have already made valuable contributions, we have retroactively awarded points for all the activities listed in the table above.
